Rosalind Tjanyari was born in 1971 and is a Yankunytjatjara/Pitjantjatjara artist from Indulkana in the APY Lands of South Australia. She was born in Indulkana and started painting with Iwantja Arts at Indulkana around 2009. Rosalind's mother and grandmother are both ngankari (traditional healers). Rosalind's paintings represent the energy and spirit of the beautiful bush country of the APY Lands to which she goes as often as possible on bush trips to collect minkulpa (bush tobacco) and other bush tucker.’ She says she loves painting and wants others to enjoy her art and that of her arts centre Iwantja which she says is a ‘happy and strong place.' Her works have been exhibited in leading private galleries which represent her art centre Iwantja Arts from 2013 and her art continues to evolve.
