Wildlife!: A celebration of Australia's Indigenous wildlife

From kangaroos, birds and water life of Arnhem Land and the Kimberley coast to echidnas and birds from Central Australia, and a wide variety of mammals, fish, reptiles, and amphibians from around the country, this extensive exhibition celebrates the indigenous wildlife of Australia plus landscape views of some of the countries they live in. 

Included in the 50+ works on show are acrylic and ochre paintings and barks, works on paper, weavings and wooden carvings and sculptures. While many are colourful and quirky images of birds, echidnas, lizards, fish, and other wildlife, others focus on the creation stories and figures behind the works. These include stingrays, dugongs, crocodiles, and other water life from the coastal regions of Arnhem Land, the Kimberley, and Far North Queensland and the Brush Tail Possum of the Western Desert.

Artists include: Amanda Jane Gabori Dibirdibi, Betty Bundamurra, Coralie Thompson Kuthakin, Dallas Kelly, Djul'djul Gurruwiwi, Don Namundja, Gavin Namarnyilk, Geraldine Napangardi Granites, Graham Badari,Gurrundul #1 Marawili, Ivan Namirrkki,Jane Mervin, Jane Tipuamantumirri,Jason Japaljarri Woods, Jeffrey Lewis, Kelvin Kemarre Ladd,Maath Maralngurra, Mabel Juli, Madelene Purdie, Margaret Renee Kerinauia, Thelma Dixon, Wukun Wanambi and Wilma Poulson.  
Featured artist: Cherylyn Napangardi Granites from Warlukurlangu Artists of Yuendumu. Cherylyn depicts the wildlife she sees in her travels around Australia as well as that of her homelands around  Yuendumu.
