Amy paints the Maku (Witchetty Grub) Songline that shapes the land around Mimili. The Maku is an edible grub that lives in the roots of the Witchetty Bush. Particularly after big rains, it is a good time for Maku. Amy and the ladies from Mimili often go out bush to dig up Maku from the roots of the Witchetty Bush, and slowly roast it in the embers of the fire. It is a delicious bush food!
