Tanya Singer was born in Alice Springs in 1977 and lives on her family outstation of Railway Bore near the South Australian APY community of Indulkana. She and her partner, Djabugay artist Errol Evans, have set up a wood working artist studio there and they work togerther creating highly finished contemporary interpretations of traditonal tools and weapons.

A dedicated and inventive artist, this work is Tanya's first experiment with a new painting style. The result is uncannily like an arial image of pantu or salt lake country.
