This painting is part of on ongoing “Season Series” which has been a leitmotif for the last few years and the energetic gestural marks are a clear identifier of these works and underline a strong depiction of the Seasons in the Far North. I explore the intensity of seasonal and changing weather patterns from its subtle impacts to its savage effects on the landscape, its waterways, forests, limestone plains, inland sea and its distinctive land forms. I’m interested in a visual comparison of floods, cyclones and droughts and its effect on the environment.
