The community of Ampilatwatja made a conscious decision not to paint ‘altyerr’ dreaming stories. The artists paint their country where those stories sit. Sugarbag is a name used for both the honey made by the native bees and also for the sweet nectar that comes from the big yellow flowers of the "tarrkarr" trees. Rosie likes to go and gather the delicious Sugarbag with family out in the 'sandy country' around Ampilatwatja.
