He is the rainmaker. He controls the weather. In our lore, the Wanjina with the help of the dreamtime snake, helped the boss Wanjina to create the world when the world was soft. Before going back to the spirit world, the Wanjinas painted their images on the rock and in the cave walls. Their eyes are like the eye of the cyclone. The lines and dots around the Wanjina's head can mean a lot of things like rain, lightning, clouds.Regina was born in Wyndham and grew up in Kalumburu. "I used to watch Rosie and Louis (Karadada), my parents, painting and that’s how I learned. My dad used to do carving with a sharp wire on the slate".Regina is a painter and a senior cultural leader in the Kalumburu community.
