Cooke is a Mornington Peninsula-based artist whose works on paper focus on the shifting dynamics of Western Port’s land, sea, and sky. As a surfer and a seaman, he lives closely with these elements on Bunurong and Boon Wurrung country.
Cooke completed a Bachelor of Fine Art at the Victorian College of the Arts, majoring in printmaking. He worked as a fine art paper merchant before becoming Studio Workshop Manager at Australian Print Workshop, where he worked with local and international artists to produce hand-printed limited edition prints. Cooke has had multiple solo and group exhibitions, with highlights being a solo exhibition at Benalla Regional Art Gallery, Fremantle Print Prize finalist, Burnie Print Prize finalist, CPM National Print Awards, and Silk Cut finalist.
His works are held in private and public collections in Australia and overseas.
